Well this is one of the easiest things I’ve found to blog about. lol Plenty of fun contests out there with awesome products.

Next I’ve found a couple of sites. The Glamorous WAHM is having a few contests actually. But the one in particular that I found is sponsored by Love Bug Clothing Co.. They are giving away a super cute tutu. How perfect would that be for the little girl in your life for Christmas? I’d be the hit at Christmas and this little girl loves me best already. The Clack House is first

Some of you may not know what twitter is, but I’m addicted. For more than one reason. The local connections have been awesome, I’ve found some incredible new products and then there are a lot of giveaways. As such I decided to start passing some of them on to this site. Of course I plan on winning most of them myself, but the more people that sign up for the contests the more they will probably have right? So let’s keep these giveaways going and enter!

The first one I’d like to post about I found last night while searching around twitter mom’s last night while waiting for the slumber party gang to go to sleep and found The Clack House. OMG, can you believe how great these candles and tarts look? And they are homemade. You know I love to focus on other WAHM’s. Then I have no shopping guilt, it’s for a good cause after all.

The Clack House is running it’s first giveaway and it’s giving away a lot of stuff. 1 of those adorable cupcake candles, 3 muffin tarts, and the always yummy iced cinnamon bun tarts. New Mineral Makeup

Wow, I found the most amazing new mineral makeup company. Mineralicious has been in production for 2 years, but she just opened the company in August of 08. I love an owner that is hands on with the company. I can’t get past the whole WAHM aspect and helping another Mom build her dream.

Mineralicious carries all the must have’s. Foundation, blush, eyeshadow, brushes and even face washes. It’s all covered for the most beautiful you available.

Now here is the kicker. You are purchasing it from another Mom which is cool in itself, but…it’s very affordable on top of it! I’m so tired of looking at prices and seeing them jacked up outrageously. Mineralicious eyeshadows are only $6.50 for 2 grams of product in a sifter jar. Just amazing deal.

Update on chocolatey votive

I just NEEDED to post an update about the chocolatey votive I found in my sample box. It was heavenly to the end. It literally burned to the bottom of the container and that is what I always look for. I have a ton of pretty votive containers, but they are impossible to dig wax out of. So I am very particular and NEVER put other votives in them. Well this brand earns the seal of approval! It can go in any of my containers with no issue.

mmm, chocolatey votive

I dug into the sample box in my closet to find a votive to burn. I am running seriously low! AHHHH

But I was blessed to find one votive in the box. It’s listed as wacky soy votive, but that is not the scent. I can’t find that scent on the site. lol It has a hint of fruit when cold, but then as soon as I lit it it just smelled up the house up of chocolate! Like WOW chocolate! Only one votive in my master bathroom is filling up my 1700 sq. ft. house. I swear!

I am thinking it may be the strawberries and chocolate scent because it did have a red layer at the top of the votive.

Check out www.thingsthatmakescents.com for all their soy candle products. Votives, tarts, jar candles and more. Good long scent, well worth the money. I’m researching how well it burns at the end. But that will take until tomorrow. My test is always getting the last of the wax out of the bottom of special containers. If I can do that, then it passes all tests and gets ordered!

Mom Retreat in PA

I know there are a ton of PA Mom’s that I know and I told Mia that I would pass on her retreat information to all of you. I wish I lived closer so i could go. The place looks great and it’s going to be a weekend all about taking care of just you. My favorite motto!

The retreat will focus on the principles in Mia’s book Time for mom-ME: five essential strategies for a mother’s self-care. Spa treatments and lots of relaxation along with classes to help you remember to make yourself a priority.

What is self love?

Self-love is an understanding that caring and accepting oneself provides healing. Just as we express care for our children when they have an interest, a hurt, make a mistake or fall, showing ourselves the same understanding provides us room to grow. When we express self- love, we refuel our spirit and refresh our life. Make room for yourself today to finally take cooking lessons or to enroll in that aerobics class. Remembering what you love is a great starting point.

Five simple strategies to show yourself love this month:

Make yourself a priority! Choose to place yourself at the top of your list of things to do.

Choose an activity for you. Along with scheduling gymnastics or swim class for the children this month, choose an activity for you. Perhaps you could take time to have tea with a friend, take a short walk after dinner or join a book club.

Write yourself a love letter!Take some time and review what qualities and traits you like about yourself. Begin your letter with: Dear_____, You are …… (Be sure to use words that describe your personal attributes).

Schedule a check up. Place your health at the top of the list this year. When was your last medical appointment? Are you healthy? Do you have important medical questions? Let’s get them answered.
Take a long bath weekly! During the evening, schedule a long bath with yourself. Remember to plan ahead and bring a favorite book, music or special fragrances that invigorate you. Place something beautiful in your home just for you! Light your favorite candles or buy yourself flowers this month.
