A couple of months ago I placed ordered from an adorable looking site called Homespun Hearts Grubby and Prim Candles. I didn’t burn a lot in the last couple of weeks because it’s unusually hot here in Seattle and we’ve been on vacations.
I ordered 2 jar candles. 1 in snickerdoodle and the other banana bread. Now I am not a fan of banana stuff, so I was a little leery of that choice. But I let me daughter help choose the scents. lol
Snickerdoodle tends to be a scent I go with for many companies to give a try. It gives me a stock scent to compare. I have to say that this one held up pretty well. To be fair, it is Summer and there are so many windows. It’s not like during the Winter when the house is in lockdown. So, it’s really hard for me to compare the scent throw. But I do have the last of it burning right now and I can smell it behind the scenes so that is a very good thing with the house wide open tonight. The scent is nice and mellow like snickerdoodle should be. Not overpowering at all. But still a decent scent throw. The scent is not a cheap scent either. It’s quality oils and wax that I am smelling.
The banana didn’t have a very strong scent throw I have to say. I burned that in the kids bathroom so it was a small room that should have been totally stunk up with it. But not so much. It did have a nice mellow scent, but not the powerful one I expected upon opening the lid of the candle.
Now Tamara also included a tart with my order and I’m afraid I forgot what the scent is. Which really is annoying because I want to order it now. The tart blew both the candles out of the water for scent throw. I don’t know that I’ve ever melted a tart that was so powerful with scent. I LOVED IT!
All said and done. I will order from Homespun Hearts Grubby and Prim Candles again. Between the awesome customer service, fast order delivery and quality products I’m looking forward to trying some other scents. I’m really dieing to try out the cookie tarts. They are very cute and I know I’m probably just a pyro-weirdo, but it’s cool to watch the fake food stuff melt down.
