Mom Realistic Goals for Weight Loss

Often finding the right way to motivate yourself to lose weight and get in shape is hard, we all have goals, but how do we reach them? We put off the start of new exercise and weight loss programs. Once you’ve decided to make the change, take on the goal and make fitness a priority, there’s still more to plan. You need to figure out how to fit your new lifestyle of health and fitness, into your real life? Not so easy as a mom is it! I think we all have struggled with this issue.
I’ve come to the conclusion, it’s not that we don’t want to be at the best fitness level at this very moment, it’s more of a time commitment conflict. Once you set the goal for exercising three times a week, we beat ourselves up, if we need to skip a day. Often we entirely fall off track and quit the plan totally, very sad to say. It’s the extra time as mom, which really is the problem, to make time for our own wellness. Most of the convenient ways to exercise and weight loss take time to do. Running out to the gym, going for a run, each require a chunk of time from of your day. It takes too much time to effectively burn off a large amount of calories by walking for most of us, even if we love walking, it’s not the most time efficient exercise in the world. If your totally a stay at home mom, which I was once, walking is great. As a working mom, I just don’t have enough time to walk everyday. You would need to walk really fast or go a longer distance. I love the new running shoes all the companies have come out with. Trying to build a better running shoe, multitasking to hit other areas of the body.
So what the next step in figuring out your exercise plan? The problem is figuring out which exercise will fit your lifestyle. Activities which require more time than your willing to give up, take those off off your list. Ask yourself some basic questions: Can the exercise be fit around your regular life? Is the time worth giving up to me for this particular exercise? Is the exercise one you’ll enjoy doing long term, could you keep doing it? A big question, for most us, would I need childcare to do this exercise and how much would it cost?
After giving time and thought to this topic, what to do is to is to be more realistic in you plan. Think of it as a long term lifestyle change, not a short term change, which most of do.
Find exercises which fit your lifestyle, set smaller longer term, more realistic weight loss goals. So you will not feel as pressured about feeling you don’t have enough time to exercise. If it is a lack of motivation start really slowly and work yourself up to harder exercises. Maybe purchase exercise clothes which are really comfortable and in your favorite color. Please, STOP beating yourself with the defeatist self talk, “I really wanted to loose weight I would be in the gym at 6AM again” We all do it! We have to be easier on ourselves mentally, the largest part of fitness is the mental mindset. Chuck the mental baggage and overcome the self defeatist talk to reach your goals. Work on your inner view of self, coming to the outside, rather than your outter shell, hurting your inner view of yourself.

One Hour of Pampering – Me Time!
How does an hour of pampering time sound? A great start or end your day! Moms have a right to have ME TIME!
We are the most selfless ladies! We make the sandwiches, pack the snacks, change the diapers and run the errands. Often we are in the car all day. We don’t eat properly or slow down even for a moment!
We all need more relaxation in our lives! Our inboxes are full, our lives are chaotic at times with all we do. Most of us are far too over scheduled and don’t even realize it, till something happens, a wake up call.
Self love, from time to time is good for the soul! Sit and relax for an hour. An hour is not that much time to take out of your day.
Gather up your facial mask, a little time, and enjoy the hour. The much needed indulgence is long over due. Calm time is needed to reflect, every now and then. We all can benefit from a good foot soak and warm robe. Relaxation is a good thing!
Food for thought : No one ever died from taking too good care of themselves! Many ladies have died from not taking good enough care of themselves.
Tip: A favorite robe can be tossed in the dryer for a few minutes to make the experience a little more indulgent. Enjoy!
The ribbon is for all the great women who have battled breast cancer. My life has been touched by the disease and maybe yours. I think we all love someone or know or someone who has had it.
Take care ladies! Thinking of you!

Fashionable Mom 5 Tips
1) Trendy colors come and go each season, only buy a few items. Soon, the color will be out of style and season. Next year, the same season there will be a new hot color out. Resist the urge to go full throttle into a new hot color!
2) On new fashion trends don’t invest too much of your money on trends. H&M is a great store for the hot fashion trends, to get ideas visit their online fashion studio:
Invest more in the classic styles which will be in your closet much longer (maybe years)
3) Purchase clothes which emphasize your best features! Down play the areas you don’t want to draw attention to. Ask someone you trust, what do they like most about you?
4) Dress for your age! If you dress too old for your age, you look frumpy. If you dress to young, everyone looks at the clothes, trying to figure out why your wearing them? You’ll draw attention to yourself for the wrong reasons by dressing too young.
5) Don’t over accessorize, accessories can be over done! Every outfit has a limit. A few standout pieces for any outfit are plenty, with the bigger sized accessories, only one accessory is needed. Figure out which types of accessories you love the most, let it become your signature style statement. Ladies in fashion usually have a signature look. Figure out your new signature look! What type of accessories excite you? Are you a shoe or handbag, scarf, earring or necklace lady?
Run and unleash your inner fashion diva, ladies!
Uber Mom..I’m Not One..it’s OK
The uber mom is the ultimate mom. Women such as Kimora Lee Simons and Victoria Beckham are perfect examples of uber moms. The moms who have it all going on and at all times. Everything is just perfect in their lives. We all know some don’t we.
We may strive to be one, but will never be one. We all know uber moms. The ones who just seem so perfect in everything they say and do. Everything an uber mom seems to touch works out well and goes perfectly. Everything in their lives just seems to always go right for them and we are a bit jealous. We are secretly longing to be so perfect ourselves in our own lives. Where I live we have many uber moms around.
To tell an uber mom, it is easy they’re the ones with the great designer clothes and perfectly behaved children. If that wasn’t enough to drive you crazy the perfectly fit bodies, great hair, perfect white teeth and great vehicles to drive around in, just may send you over the edge. Life is really beautiful for some people, but not for all of us.
I have had my share of experience with running into uber moms, everywhere I go there seem to be a few. I am not an uber mom by any means, it shows. I really don’t care to be one.
I try hard only on the things, which really matter in the long run. I like being the real me at all times, love me or hate me. I have days when I’m pretty put together, but don’t beat myself up when I’m not. It’s perfectly OK, just to be you! Let others take or leave, the real you.
I don’t think many of the uber moms I know are very happy people. I’m pretty happy, if I do say. My priorities are very different than theirs, I have different interests and it’s just fine by me. I like not even trying to be so perfect all the time and it’s OK, perfectly OK.
